In term 1, boys have been using “FireWorks”.
This is a high-end graphics package similar to PhotoShop.
Boys have used the following skills:
- Created a new document and set the canvas size in cm
- Created a filled rectangle to divide the canvas into two equal portions
- Saved their document to their ‘My Documents’
- Created 1-5 text boxes
- Changed the colour, font, size, style of the text
- Added a filter (drop shadow, inner glow) to a text box
- Added a gradient fill to a text box
- Added an outline to a text box
- Copied and pasted 4-5 related images from Google Images onto their canvas
- Moved their text and images on the canvas to achieve a balanced look
- Exported their completed graphic as a gif image so that it can be placed on a web page
- Printed their bookmark on the colour printer
