Term 2 – self paced learning
This term I am trialling having boys work at their own pace for 4 weeks at a time.
Boys will be given a list of the ‘minimum’ work that needs to be completed in a four week period.
They will need to manage their time (class and homework), and make decisions about what assistance they need and when they are ready to be tested.
Each lesson will include a ‘teaching focus’ aimed at a new part of the curriculum. Individuals can also ask at any time for assistance. Each lesson boys will be asked what they are working on, so that they will not fall way behind. Work is self-marked and reviewed before each revision and test.
